Meet the Team
Dan Thompson always knew he wanted to start his own business. When he and his brother Jim decided the time was right, they decided to go into a field they were both experienced and interested in: roofing and siding. Dan loves working with customers of all types and solving their exterior problems. He holds numerous certifications including manufacturer certifications. He is also EPA lead safe certified and safety services certified.
Dan is an active member of the community and is involved in Life Spring Church, Business Network International (BNI), and supports numerous non-profit organizations such as the Nebraska Hemophilia Foundation, Plattsmouth Youth Sports, and Cornerstone Christian School.
When not working or volunteering, Dan enjoys travel, fishing, hunting, reading, and playing with his kids.
Jim and his brother Dan started Thompson & Thompson 3rd Generation 20 years ago with a mission to provide a great work environment for employees and top-notch customer service for anyone needing exterior work on their home or commercial building. His vision has grown past his original goals and he looks forward to expansion into seven states and growing the company’s loyal customer base.
Jim is lead and ventilation certified and is always conscious of the families and employees’ health as it relates to where they live and work.
When not growing his business, Jim enjoys being involved with Life Spring Church, woodworking and fishing.
Kevin was working in landscaping when he met Jim and Dan Thompson in 1995 and went to work for their new roofing company. Health reasons took him off roofs and back to landscaping for a few years, but he returned to Thompson & Thompson in 2001 and has become an integral part of the company.
Amy White – Secretary
Amy has been with Thompson & Thompson for (7) years and works with customers to help answer questions and set appointments. Amy also helps out with any computer issues the team
Amy loves the fact that the company treats everyone like family and also enjoys working directly with the company owners.
When not working, Amy enjoys baking cakes, hiking and fishing.
Seth Denton—Project manager
Seth has been in the exterior industry for almost ten years and is an expert in vinyl siding and roofing. Seth is asbestos certified and has performed hundreds of hands-on asbestos removals and roofing installations.
Seth enjoys the family atmosphere at Thompson & Thompson and is excited to be a part of their growth. He and the rest of the team are constantly pushing themselves to be ahead of the competition with new products and techniques. The team understands their customers’ needs and continue to strive to be the company customers can rely on.
When he has time off, Seth coaches football at Plattsmouth Middle School and teaches youth archery. He also enjoys hunting and woodworking.
Dan Evans – Sales
A friend of the Thompson family, Dan Evans is proud to be a part of such a close-knit locally owned business. In his time with the company, Dan has become an expert in roofing, siding, gutters, and insulation. He brings a goal-oriented, empathetic passion to his job every day to best serve the company’s valued customers. He looks forward to the future of the company and upholding the strong values of customer service, hard work, and integrity that they have put in place.
Dan enjoys the challenge of always facing a new task at work and takes every opportunity he can to learn about sales, the exterior improvement field, and customer service. He also appreciates the fact that Thompson & Thompson is a community-focused organization. Over the years, Dan has volunteered in numerous capacities including community clean-ups, donating to the Red Cross, and working with veterans at the veteran’s home.
In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with family who is a constant source of inspiration to him.
Ken Wesely – Sales
Ken has been with the company since June of 2016 and specializes in negotiating with insurance companies to get the very best roof for customers. With over 10 years of experience in the casualty insurance industry, Ken enjoys using his knowledge and listening skills to improve the customer experience.
Ken is involved in the Grace Church community and Fresh Hope, a Christ-based support system for mentally ill individuals and their families. When not at work, he enjoys fishing and home improvement projects.
